OPRO Video Contest Submission Form

The APS Office of Public Relations and Outreach (OPRO) is excited to announce our yearly video contest! Through the creation of videos about plant pathology, we can show the general public the importance of our field and its impact on the food chain, forests, gardens (and more) in an exciting way. In 2012, we will accept entries in three categories: It's a Microbial World After All, Central Concepts of Plant Pathology, and (new this year), What is a Plant Pathologist? Read on if you’re interested in creating a short video on your favorite pathogen, a central theme of concept of plant pathology, or describing what it means to be a plant pathologist!

Once again, membership votes for the winner! Entries will be posted on APSnet and the APS YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/plantdisease), where the APS membership can view and cast their ballots (more details to follow). The entry with the most votes overall will be the Grand Prize Winner and receive $500. The entry with the second most votes will be the runner-up and receive $250, while the winner of a special “Judges' Choice” award will also receive $250.
